Previously, the only options open to them were to either use a nasal mask with a chin strap to prevent mouth breathing, or use a bulky and imposing full face mask. Now Fisher & Paykel have created a solution in the Oracle 452, as it only sits across the mouth. This finally allows mouth breathers the same level of comfort and freedom that nasal breathers have long become accustomed to.

Sizing: This mask comes with different sizes of cushion – so you can find the best fit for you.

Oracle – the solution for those with chronic nasal problems

Clinically proven to function as effectively as a nasal mask, the Oracle 452 is a perfect solution for mouth breathers and patients with chronic nasal obstruction. The Oracle 452 Oral Mask is easy to use and easy to seal. With nothing covering the field of vision, the Oracle provides freedom of movement rivalled only by the Opus 482 direct nasal mask.

You have the freedom to choose the Flexitube position with 360 degrees of movement. With its single strap headgear, the Oracle mouth mask offers minimal intrusion. The minimal, lightweight and comfortable single Breathe-o-Prene strap allows clear vision and movement.

The oral mask’s rotating adjustment dial provides easy and specific adjustment of the distance between the SnapFlap Cover and SoftSeal Mouthpiece for a personalized fit. It is very simple to use to use – just rotate the adjustment dial. This can even be adjusted once the mask is already fitted.

The material filter in the diffuser helps make the make quieter during use. The advanced air diffuser system also prevents air from blowing onto the sleeping partner and decreases noise that could potentially disrupt sleep.

The SoftSeal Mouthpiece combines with the SnapFlap Cover to provide a leak-free combination. It works by holding the lips snugly between the inner SoftSeal Mouthpiece and the outer SnapFlap. One part sits between your teeth and lips in the mouth, keeping the mask in place while the other sits on the outside around the lips, helping keep an excellent seal throughout the night. These technologies work together to provide a simple, superior seal and maximum comfort.

The Oracle oral mask’s easy-release strap allows for one-step removal for when you need to get up and out of bed. Simply pull the easy-release cord for one-step removal of the mask’s headgear. No additional headgear adjustments are required as it all hooks back into place exactly as it was.

Please Note: The Oracle 452 oral mask is recommended only in combination with a heated humidifier. It’s normally the little hairs in the nose which prepare the air for entry into your airways. When using the Oracle, air from your CPAP or APAP will not be warmed up leading to an uncomfortable and dry experience. Please only order the Fisher & Paykel Oracle 452 oral mask when your PAP machine has a heated humidifier, or simply add an appropriate humidifier to you order at the same time.

If you are considering trying this mask for the first time, you can order in confidence using Mask Fit Insurance.

Mask Fit Insurance costs £14.99 for nasal masks and £19.99 for full face masks, and allows you to return this mask for a refund if unsuitable.

You have 28 days from the dispatch date to assess the mask and notify us that you are unhappy with it for any reason. You can return it and have it refunded (we must receive it back within 7 days of being notified).

The fee for the insurance is non-refundable once the mask is opened, nor are any outgoing postage costs. The mask itself will be refunded in full.

A pre-paid returns label will be included for customers in the UK. We strongly recommend getting a proof of postage (which is free) as returns not received cannot be refunded. For overseas customers, the return postage will need to be arranged by the customer and this cannot be reimbursed.

CPAP masks purchased without insurance cannot be returned/refunded once opened for hygiene reasons, as explained in our returns policy.

Mask Fit Insurance must be ordered at the same time as the mask in question, and cannot be added retroactively.

Intus Healthcare reserve the right not to honour any orders containing multiple masks purchased with Insurance; please instead choose which mask you feel is most suitable and select the size required as per the sizing gauge (if applicable). Should you subsequently determine a different mask or size is required, you can of course return the first and order the other.

Will the Oracle 452 work with the CPAP machine I use?

Fisher & Paykel ensure that all their CPAP masks including the Oracle 452 will work with any CPAP machines available on the market.

How can I be sure that the Oracle 452 mask will fit me?

The Oracle 452 provide a variety of mask cushions of different sizes so you can try out and find which cushion fits you best for your CPAP therapy.

Would I need to provide any documentation before I place an order for the Oracle 452?

No documentation is necessary if you were interested in purchasing the Oracle 452 – we only ask for medical documents and sleep study results if you were attempting to buy a CPAP machine on our online store.

I have lost/broken a part of my Oracle 452, will I be able to order a replacement part with you?

What would be your advice on cleaning my Oracle 452?

We always recommend to wash the mask on a daily basis with warm soapy water to keep it clean and maintained. We would suggest you do not use antibacterial or bleach soaps to clean your mask as this can damage the silicone cushions used to seal around your face for CPAP therapy.

We also suggest that before you apply your mask is that you wash your face beforehand with water and soap as this will rid your face of any natural skin oils and other bacteria. This will prevent you getting ill and to also keep your Oracle 452 performing at it’s maximum capacity.

Lastly, we also suggest picking up some CPAP Mask Wipes as these will also help the cleanliness after washing your mask and keeping it free from bacteria.
