The Eson 2 is an evolution of the successful Eson mask from Fisher & Paykel. It features over 20 separate upgrades over the original, and the highlight is a narrower cushion that reduces the contact area with the face. The new shape provides a more secure fit, allowing for greater freedom of movement and a more reliable seal. The new diffuser design has been improved to make it quieter and more durable, and can now be cleaned to save you needing to replace is as frequently. Colour-coded parts and headgear make assembling the mask after cleaning easier and the headgear’s new design allows the mask to be put on by simply stretching it over the head rather than using the clips. However, the priority at every step of this update was to improve comfort, and the new Roll-Fit cushion (demonstrated in the video below) allows more people to get a comfortable, secure seal throughout the night.

F&P Eson 2 – now even easier to fit and maintain

The original Eson mask introduced Fisher & Paykel’s new Roll-Fit technology; a unique cushion design that allowed the mask to roll on the face rather than simply become dislodged or dig into the face. The Eson 2 matures this design, with a new smaller cushion design for reduced skin contact, and a more adaptable cushion to make getting (and keeping) a good seal even easier than before.

As well as this, Fisher & Paykel have worked hard at making the Eson 2 easy to use and maintain. The new highlighted connections make putting the mask together after cleaning much more intuitive, and the headgear now has a blue crown strap to easily identify which way round it goes.

Additionally, the diffuser has been redesigned to make it more durable, and can now be cleaned. You can now benefit from the noise-suppression that a diffuser provides, without having to worry about changing it so frequently. The diffuser is now biult into the plastic cap, making it far less fiddly when removing and attaching it.

The Eson 2 advances every area of the original design

As well as improving the cushion, the forehead support has also been made slimmer to make your field of vision clearer. It retains the same headgear attachment design, that prevents the mask itself touching the skin at any point.

The headgear has been redesigned to spread pressure more evenly over the back of the head rather than just across the top of the next. The new material also allows the mask to be put on by simply stretcing it over the head, rather than removing and attaching the clips. However, should you prefer to use the clips then they have also been redesigned to make them easier to use. The velcro tabs on the Eson 2 are more durable and should be longer-lasting than those on the Eson headgear.

Mask Fit Insurance costs £14.99 for nasal masks and £19.99 for full face masks, and allows you to return this mask for a refund if unsuitable.

You have 28 days from the dispatch date to assess the mask and notify us that you are unhappy with it for any reason. You can return it and have it refunded (we must receive it back within 7 days of being notified).

The fee for the insurance is non-refundable once the mask is opened, nor are any outgoing postage costs. The mask itself will be refunded in full.

A pre-paid returns label will be included for customers in the UK. We strongly recommend getting a proof of postage (which is free) as returns not received cannot be refunded. For overseas customers, the return postage will need to be arranged by the customer and this cannot be reimbursed.

CPAP masks purchased without insurance cannot be returned/refunded once opened for hygiene reasons, as explained in our returns policy.

Mask Fit Insurance must be ordered at the same time as the mask in question, and cannot be added retroactively.

How would I go about cleaning my Fisher & Paykel Eson Nasal 2 cushion CPAP mask?

You should clean the Eson 2 Nasal cushion CPAP mask’s frame assembly, roll fit silicone seal and swivel connector daily; and the headgear weekly. Appropriate cleaning of your mask and headgear, will support long term therapy success. You should use a mild detergent and warm water. Disassemble your mask and place in the soapy solution, for no longer than 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and then leave to dry, out of direct sunlight. Never put any of the parts of the Fisher & Paykel Eson 2 Nasal cushion CPAP mask into the dishwasher. It is also worth noting that the material diffuser part of the mask, should not be cleaned.
